Apparition of the Angels to Abraham

Bologna: c. 1770. Notes: A copy of Giovanni Battista Piranesi's "Apparition of the Angels to Abraham" by Domenico Padrini, who was an Italian painter. Fiercely provincial in his geographic activity, Pedrini's works were mainly completed in and around Bologna, and yet his atavistic style strayed far afield into Bologna's strong Baroque ancestry. His son, Filippo Pedrini, was also a painter and became a professor at the Accademia Clementina., Image Size : 310x276 (mm), 12.20x10.87 (Inches), Platemark Size : 385x306 (mm), 15.16x12.05 (Inches), Paper Size : 487x388 (mm), 19.17x15.28 (Inches), Coloring: Printed in Color, Medium: Steeple Engraving, Categories: Religious Judaica. Very Good. Item #P4099
