America Septentrionalis a Domino d'Anville in Galliis edita nunc in Anglia Coloniis in Interiorem Virginiam deductis nec non Fluvii Ohio cursu aucta notisq3 geographicis et historicis illustrata et ad bellum praesentis temporis accomodata.

Nuremberg: 1777. Notes: This is the second state of d'Anville and the Homann Heirs' map of 1756 during the French-Indian War. Here, in 1777, boundaries are extended for the newly constituted United States, with larger territory being accorded to the states of Georgia, North and South Carolinas, Virginia, and a truncation of the territory once held by New York (which included southern Ontario and Michigan). Britain's newly acquired and formed East and West Floridas also appear on this map, though following the War of Independance, the Floridas were returned to Spain. This appeared in the Homann Heirs' 'Atlas Geographicus Major' (1753-59[i.e., 1781]), v. 1. (Sellers and Van Ee 69)

McCorkle, in reference to the 1756 state, says:
"This is the Homann Heirs copy of the Jefferys map of the previous year [i.e. 1755]. Map was later reissued with several alterations: 'et ad bellum praesentis temporis accomodata' added before imprint information, and date changed to 1777." (756.1), Size : 470x526 (mm), 18.50x20.71 (Inches), Coloring: Original Outline Coloring, Reference: McCorkle 756.1 and 777.2; Sellers and Van Ee 69, Category: Maps North America Great Lakes; Maps United States East; Maps United States New England;. Very Good. Item #M6639
