This map is based upon Delisle's map of 1703, titled "Carte des environs du Mississippi". This map illustrated the routes for the gold plunders of the Incans by the Spanish. Also of note is the fact that the source of both the Rio Grande and the Mississippi are well detailed, considering the period.
