A very decorative map with images of ships on the sea and also a decorative compass rose. The engrave map shows the north sea area from approximately from Dieppe to Brugge. The western boundary includes section of Kent called " The Lathe of Saincte Augustine" and the eastern section includes Tournay and Vadlenciennes.

This map is one from a once vast collection that belonged to the 6th Duke of Leuchtenberg de Beauharnais. It was he who presented the piece to the present owner.
