The map of Eastern Canada Published by Coronelli in "Isola=Rio Dell' Atlante Veneto", 1695 - 1697. "This map was derived without cartographic change from the earlier Nolin map of 1685. Although the map appears at first sight to be entirely different, the relevant section of the Nolin map has simply been transcribed and embellished with a superb decorative cartouche" -Kershaw, page 151

Vincenzo Maria Coronelli (August 16, 1650 – December 9, 1718) was an Italian Franciscan friar, cosmographer, cartographer, publisher, and encyclopedist known in particular for his atlases and globes. He is considered one of the leading geographers and cartographers of the Baroque period.
