Stanford’s Map of the South African Republic (Transvaal)

London: Edward Stanford, 1899. Notes: The map is folded down between brown cloth boards (200 x 130 mm). Boards with triple blind framing, title printed in black on yellow paper paste-down on upper. With advertisements for other Stanford cartographic publications printed on yellow endpapers pasted to upper verso and part of map sheet.

A very good example of this map of Transvaal, once a province in South Africa, published just before the break of the Second Boer War. Map coloured, dissected and mounted on linen.
